2019 Innovative New Protein Products
Protein-based and -enhanced foods continue to drive food manufacturers and consumer interests alike. While the trend is global, the USA is a large portion of the market at over US$3 billion in 2016.(1) Products reflect dietary and lifestyle trends such as increased consumption of plant-based foods, low-FODMAP products, interest in sports nutrition, clean label and many more. Food, beverage and dietary product companies launch protein-touting products using emerging sources of protein. More products to be added!
